I imagine that I should be able to develop the new site from scratch on a develop domain. Create a third separate domain solely for use in upgrading the Magento database from the live website, then migrate the data I want to keep out of that third database into the new development site. If that's not a possibility, then I will have to have a rethink? Thanks for the time spent on your answer - much appreciated, and food for thought from someone who seems to have been there already! | |
