Questions related to the new Responsive Web Design reference theme that shipped with Magento CE 1.9 and Magento EE 1.14.
Magento 1.9 introduced a new rwd design package, and a default theme for that package. This new theme gives Magento a base "responsive" design using the Bootstrap framework. As this is the first major overhaul to a default Magento theme in a long time, there are structure changes, as well as some new backend features (theme.xml) that may cause problems with existing development techniques that assumed the the base/default theme is present. The rwd-theme tag is for any question that relates to the new theme, whether the question is directly about theme, or a bug caused by changes made because of the theme.
