Go to packages/venia-concept/.env and add pub directory, if still not works you can add whole project URL.
Set file system ownership and permissions again as a user with root privileges.
Don’t install sample data in production mode. Switch to developer mode and clear var(cached files) directories and try again.

edit and change MAGENTO_BACKEND_URL in packages/venia-concept/.env
In pwa-studio folder run:
npm run build && NODE_ENV=production PORT=8000 npm run stage:venia
It will start the server on port 8000.
You can change the PWA development environment domain names by updating below env variables inside below path.
And uncomment below lines and give your domain names.

The issue was that I was not having the root access and due to which it was not working.
