Grouped product (simple product sorting on price) Magento 2
Override public function getAssociatedProducts($product) of this file:
vendor/magento/module-grouped-product/Model/Product/Type/Grouped.php
in this function you have to remove setPositionOrder() ...

Magento2 - catalog product listing collection sort by price with dynamic price calculation
I assume, In Category page you are trying to sort by the price and not getting the correct order while you want your prices to be displayed as well as used in sorting.

Magento 2 Set Order not working
I found that in another(in afterSetCollection()) file following code was given
$collection->getSelect()->reset(\Zend_Db_Select::ORDER);
