Currently the Marketplace is Magento 2-only, and Connect is Magento 1-only. Later this year Magento 1 support will be added to the Marketplace (on a temporary basis, I think), at which point vendors will be engaged to migrate their listings across. Once that is done, Connect will go away entirely. The exact timeline and migration process is yet to be ...

Did some googling and I'm afraid it's only possible via SSH. From this source: http://help.granify.com/install/magento/troubleshooting-guide/ CONNECT ERROR: The ‘community’ channel is not installed. Please use the MAGE shell script to install the ‘community’ channel. The root cause of this is that Magento wasn’t completely setup when installed. ...

I update via download from magento.com make sure VCS is clean, no changed files copy all files over commit If you have changes in .htaccess and index.php it might be worth to check afterwards. And of course you don't have core hacks.

I did not have that line to edit either so I searched elsewhere. This is what worked for me (I don't know if all of these steps are necessary): I disabled the cache and flushed magento cache and cache storage. I changed the name of /downloader/connect.cfg to connect.cfg-old I logged out of magento. I logged back in and when directly to Magento Connect/...

check .htaccess file in downloader directory. I think IP will be restricted in that. or else once replace htaccess from original magento's htaccess. so it will work.

The reason behind that is that the Magento Connect Manager has not been initiated by a previous install/upgrade. It could be because this store has been installed by transferring files via FTP. Thus, the only method to upgrade you've got is by the CLI. First, you need to ensure the permissions are right: chmod 550 ./mage Then you've got to initiate the ...

You might want to try to do a manual install: Convert your magento connect 2.0 to a direct download: http://freegento.com/ddl-magento-extension.php Open your FTP client and upload the extension in your Magento folder No files should be overwritten, Flush magento cache and then log out and back into magento backend Go to configuration > advanced to ...

Why do I see some modules appearing in "etc" directory, but they don't appear in MagentoConnect page ? A Magento Connect will contain Modules which packaged using standard packages of magento extension. Magento Connect doesn't know anything about the custom Modules that have been installed into your system without proper packaging. In that cases, how can I ...

Magento 2 does not have the "Magento Connect Manager" anymore. If you are looknig for the "Component Manager", find it at "System > Web Setup Wizard". More info: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.0/comp-mgr/compman-start.html

Do you try use Official documentation. Odoo connector currently do not support Magento 2. See: https://apps.openerp.com/apps/modules/8.0/magentoerpconnect/ Support Magento 1.7+ (not 2.x), the support of earlier versions should be easy to add, the connector framework being designed to handle multiple versions with ease. See https://github.com/OCA/...

It's not really a bug, I'd say it's a human mistake because fortunately for us, this curlOptions method is never used in the Magento core. However, you'll face issues if you have extensions using it but as it sits in the downloader folder it should not be used externally as the right class to use is the Varien_Http_Adapter_Curl class.

I am not sure if this is the correct solution, may be someone who knows better can provide more details but for now this will resolve your issue. Magento Connect Manager gets current version information for extensions from files added in var/package folder. If you open the folder, you will see all your installed packages xml files with its current version. ...

I found the solution myself! While the issue does correctly share similarities with the aforementioned (and linked) issue elsewhere on stackexchange, the solution is different. For anyone wondering, the problem was with an oudated version of CURL on CentOS. I had to update curl and I am now able to run the CLI script to update magento. How to upgrade ...

By default the connect manager is used to upgrade 3rd party extensions and not core magento. My Advice would be to not to it on a live environment. I would suggest creating a staging/dev environment where you can preform the upgrade by extrating the zip of the magento version found on https://www.magentocommerce.com/products/downloads/magento/ into the ...

Are you sure the extension you purchased is actually for Magento 2? Extensions from Magento 1 are not compatible. If it is, the directions are wrong and you should ask them to fix it. After hours of debugging any login issues we may have had, I just decided to get a fresh copy of the /downloader folder from magentocommerce.com. Problem solved! I suspect it was caused by a corrupted cache.cfg file.
