For me (using docker) solves problem with:
FROM php:7.2.0-fpm-stretch
RUN apt-get update --fix-missing libfreetype6-dev
&& docker-php-ext-configure gd --with-freetype-dir=/usr/include/ --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/include/
&& docker-php-ext-install gd

In your terminal run below command and look for MYSQL_SERVICE_PORT_33060_TCP_ADDR. You can use for your database server host.
php -i
