I am having an error with memory while browsing my site - my server has increased memory allocation to a large enough level (I think).

Does anyone know why I'm getting these errors whilst browsing? After a local cache clear I can access the site again but doesn't seem right to me, here are two errors I get individually at different times;

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in lib/Zend/Db/Statement/Pdo.php on line 228

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in lib/Zend/Db/Statement/Pdo.php on line 235

  • server support believes error is due to some php files having memory limit set tot 512mb... He has set mem limit to 1GB for all files... – mrDT Oct 13 '15 at 13:56
  • Yes, it looks like your PHP Memory_Limit is not high enough as your Magento installation is trying to use more than 512MB. Are you still seeing the error after increasing the Memory_Limit to 1GB? – Aspiration Hosting Oct 14 '15 at 8:02

You can add the following in index.php - make sure the log file path is correct

When I made sure the cronjob was able to run -> the error disappears. Greets
