  • How are you adding this code? – rob3000 Sep 30 '15 at 3:40
  • I added it to catalog/product/edit.phtml in design adminhtml. Code is inside window.onload() – user31623 Sep 30 '15 at 7:48

By default the product description and short description already have the wysiwyg enabled:

If you are wanting to add the wysiwyg to a custom field on the product then you will need to create a custom module with an observer in order to add the js and field config.

I wrote a post here http://rob3000.com/adding-wysiwyg-to-magento-form/ that goes through how to add the wysiwyg to a magento form which should point you into the right direction.
