I'm working with a composer 2.4.0 and try to install 2.4.1

I was having a similar issue and deleting the Redis cache is what fixed it for me. I am using Docker so I just removed the Redis data volume and restarted it, but otherwise you can clear it with the redis-cli flushall from the command line of the Redis host.

If it is running locally:

redis-cli flushall
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento cache:clean
