I messed up with Magento 2 :(

I installed a theme (Porto) then realised I should have created a child theme. So, I went back in, created the child theme then stupidly, I just changed the directory names making the main porto the child and vice versa. Now I'm getting the error below...

Autoload error
Theme 'frontend/Smartwave/porto' from '/home/user321/public_html/app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto' has been already defined in '/home/user321/public_html/app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto_child'.

I'm hoping this is an easy fix :(

TIA Robert

  • SOLVED: I spoke with the theme developer support team and the resolve was to update the registration.php file to point to the correct theme (porto_child). – ozmo Aug 17 '20 at 3:23
