After upgrading to Magento 2.3.3 on Windows, and being successful, I attempted to change some CSS but found that while my code is being generated, it is being overwritten by the old code which doesn't exist anymore. The inspect I did of the page revealed that this anomalous code is being pulled from style-l.css at:

pub\static\frontend\<Vendor>\<Theme>\en_NZ\css\style-1.css

This file doesn't exist.

The en_NZ folder actually no longer HAS a CSS folder. It used to, before the upgrade, and it was part of my method to actually display my changes on the website. But it doesn't anymore.

Does anyone have any clue about what's going on?

  • It's magento default css file. Link your css like below and it will overtire style-l.css <css src="css/custom.css" media="all"/> – Nayem323 Jan 17 at 4:11
