I am trying to figure out how registry values are unset. My understanding is that the registry must behave as a singleton in order for the data to persist for the lifetime of the page request.

My problem is that a key is being registered, and on my category listing page I can later call the registered key without issue - the data that I expect is provided. However, on the search results page, I can see that the data is registered (by dumping it immediately after), however, later in the request, via another class method, the registry is empty.

For each class, the registry is provided in the constructor. Again, the registry value persists as expected on category listing pages but it does not on search result pages.

How do I go about troubleshooting M2 registry data not persisting?

  • Interesting. Is it possible to provide more details, or even better, actual code within classes: a. where you set the registry value, and b. where you read the registry value? I'm referring only to that Search results page where it is not functioning properly. – Marjan Sep 10 '18 at 21:08
