In my magento store (1.9.3.7) I have a custom product attribute called 'points' which varies by product between 1 and 10.

I need to be able to create a shopping cart price rule where by if the total amount of 'points' in the cart is 30 or over than apply a 20% discount.

For example I have the following 5 products in my cart:

  • Product A * 1 - custom product attribute 'points' = 3
  • Product B * 1 - custom product attribute 'points' = 10
  • Product C * 1 - custom product attribute 'points' = 7
  • Product D * 1 - custom product attribute 'points' = 5
  • Product E * 2 - custom product attribute 'points' = 3 = 6 (3*2)

The total sum of 'points' in the cart is 31 so I would need the discount to be applied.

I have enabled the attribute to be applied in the shopping cart price rules by going too

Catalog > Attributes > Manage Attributes > points

Use for Promo Rule Conditions = Yes

Now within my 20% Shopping Cart Price Rule, this attribute appears under the actions section and

Apply the rule only to cart items matching the following conditions
(leave blank for all items)

But I cannot work out how to apply the above scenerio in this section. This doesn't appear to let me add up the total sum of the points? I can onyl set it for an amount of points per product, not the total of them all or am I incorrect?

I need instead to be able to set it like you would under the conditions section where you can have for example the total item quantity:

If ALL of these conditions are TRUE :
Total Items Quantity greater than 29

I need the equivalent of that so:

If ALL of these conditions are TRUE :
    Total 'points' greater than 29

Is this possible?
