I want to run my live project in localhost , I have downloaded my Magento2.0 project from live and in localhost I am using xampp server , I have done this things many times , my all necessary commands like compile,flush cache , upgrade and deploy runs without error on local , but whenever I hit url of (localhost/project_name) on my browser it keeps redirecting me to my live url e.g (project_name.com) ..

I have already remove redirect rule from .htacess file in root directory but it still facing issue .

after removing this rule why it keeps still redirect me to live url ? any suggestion.

Did you Change in database core_config_data table?

Open your core_config_data table in phpMyAdmin and change value column to your project name in my projects it is http://localhost/magento2/ go to column:

PATH                         VALUE
web/unsecure/base_url        http://localhost/magento2/
web/secure/base_url          https://localhost/magento2/

Clear you fully browser cache as well as Magento Cache and try to open in Private browser.Surely it will work.

  • i have this 4 fields in core_config_data table , which is null --->>> web/unsecure/base_static_url NULL web/unsecure/base_media_url NULL web/secure/base_static_url NULL web/secure/base_media_url NULL

  • change values only for path "web/unsecure/base_url" and "web/secure/base_url".These two rows should be exist in "core_config_data" table.

  • check in your live server DB and try to add both rows manually in local server.
