You can import database using command line

mysql -u username -p database_name < file.sql

or you can try

mysql -u username -p password // (press enter)
use database_name ; // (press enter)
source sql_file_name.sql ; // (press enter)

  • i tried bro but i did not get solutions – Sarvesh Tiwari Jan 30 '17 at 6:22
  • is there any error message on your terminal ? – Ramkishan Suthar Jan 30 '17 at 6:23
  • You should cross check your sql file path, db name and phpmyadmin username. – Ramkishan Suthar Jan 30 '17 at 6:24
  • the system can not find the file specified – Sarvesh Tiwari Jan 30 '17 at 6:24
  • I think then sql file path is the only problem. – Ramkishan Suthar Jan 30 '17 at 6:25

open php.ini, and set the max_input_vars to 300000000, then restart apache

and in localhost/phpmyadmin:

  1. Select Database you want to Export
  2. On Top tab menu click Export
  3. Then click go

you can direct import from your terminal using below command,

/opt/lampp/bin/mysql -u root -p databasename < /opt/lampp/htdocs/databasepathtill.sql

Hope this will help you

  • i am using xampp not lamp – Sarvesh Tiwari Jan 30 '17 at 7:14
  • then just check for mysql file path in place of opt lampp – Yogesh Jan 30 '17 at 7:16
