I want to move the product description to appear right after the short description on our Magento 2.1 product detail page.

However My issue is I am not sure what the element name is for the short description and long description fields are.

I know I need something like

  • as I know in Magento 2 product description appears in tab.do you want remove it from that tab and wants get below short description.Right ?

Give this a try:

Before changes:Before changes

For remove Description Tab and adding description below short description use below code in catalog_product_view.xml in your theme with location app/design/frontend/Namespace/Theme/Magento_Catalog/layout

  • this does not help as if I just copy and paste the above code into our Magento_Catalog/layout/catalog_product_view.xml file and clear cache, etc it does not do anything. ? Could you use the file I posted in my origional post and let me know what to chat.

  • @user1739740, it is working fine and for change layout of product view page you need to edit above file i.e catalog_product_view.xml. just remove default.xml from folder and try the code
